

Richard C. Harris, Ed.D. is the founder of HarrisSpeaks.com and DocHarrisInstitute.com where he helps leaders “Relate, Communicate, and Resonate” with others across the various divisions our world is facing. He is a true believer in the power of radical transformation of our minds and our society through changes in our attitudes, thoughts, and communication.
Holding Master’s degrees in both communication and ministry and a Doctorate in education, Doc Harris brings extensive expertise and experience to platforms and panels when he speaks and teaches on communication, leadership, and racial harmony/diversity issues.

A university professor and pastor he is well-known for his earlier years when he served as the leader of the largest underground terrorist organization in the Midwestern U.S. in the 1970s. An avowed white supremacist and the Grand Dragon of the Indiana Ku Klux Klan, in 1978, he underwent a dramatic conversion and renounced racism and all ties to the KKK.

He documents his experiences in his book, One Nation Under CURSE which won the 2012 Reader’s Favorite Award for best non-fiction religion/philosophy book. It is available in print through Amazon and as an audio book on Audible.

Considered a national thought leader in building racial harmony, Dr. Harris served as one of the leaders for the Congressional Gracism Forum on Racial Reconciliation at the U.S. Capital Building in Washington, D.C. in 2017. Following a presidential address, he was recognized for his work in building bridges between the races at the National Prayer Breakfast Leadership Caucus.
In addition to being a university professor, Dr. Harris also serves as an Associate Pastor at an historic African-American church, Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Bartow, Florida.
